Supported field types
Default mappings
Section titled “Default mappings”When KnotCMS reads your Notion database it picks a Framer field type for each property:
| Notion property | Framer field |
|---|---|
| Title | Plain text |
| Text | Plain text |
| Number | Number |
| Checkbox | Boolean |
| Select | Option |
| Status | Option |
| Date | Date |
| URL | Link |
| Plain text | |
| Phone | Plain text |
| ID (unique ID) | Plain text |
| Files & media | Image |
Notion property types not in this table — relations, rollups, formulas, people, multi-select, created and edited times — are not mapped, and their columns do not appear in the mapping table.
Sending a text property to a Link column
Section titled “Sending a text property to a Link column”Any text-like property — Text, Title, URL, Email, Phone — can be mapped to a Framer Link column, which is what a button or link element needs as its destination. Choose Link for that field in the mapping table.
An empty value is written as no link rather than an empty string, so buttons pointing at it stay inactive instead of linking nowhere.
Images
Section titled “Images”Image columns take the file URL from Notion. Notion’s own file URLs expire after a while, so a permanent image is better stored on a host of your own and mapped as a URL.
If Framer cannot fetch an image — the host rate-limits it, or blocks hotlinking — the sync continues and drops that image rather than failing the whole run. You will see FRAMER_ASSET on the project page.
