KnotCMS syncs rows from a content source into Framer CMS collections. You pick the source during setup — on step 1 · Connect.

Notion

Notion is the live connector. KnotCMS reads database rows (not standalone pages), maps properties to Framer fields, and reconciles items on each sync.

Setup flow:

1. Connect — connect Notion, and paste your Framer project URL + Server API key
2. Direction — choose which way content flows
3. Fields — pick a database (or bootstrap from Framer), map fields, choose the slug
4. Automation — auto-sync and auto-publish → Create & sync

Coming soon

Google Sheets

Google Sheets appears in the setup wizard with a Coming soon badge. You cannot connect it yet — use Notion for now.

When it launches, the same four-step wizard will apply: connect Google Drive, pick a spreadsheet tab, map columns, and sync.

Note

Docs will expand with a full Google Sheets guide when the connector ships. The Framer plugin already mentions Sheets as a future source; setup still happens on app.knotcms.com.

Where setup runs

All source connection, mapping, sync, and billing happen in the web dashboard. The Framer plugin only opens the dashboard — see Plugin vs dashboard.
