Content sources
KnotCMS syncs rows from a content source into Framer CMS collections. You pick the source during setup — step 2 · Source in the wizard.

Section titled “Available today”Notion
Section titled “Notion”Notion is the live connector. KnotCMS reads database rows (not standalone pages), maps properties to Framer fields, and reconciles items on each sync.
Setup flow:
- Framer — project URL + Server API key
- Source — connect Notion → choose a setup path → pick a database (or bootstrap from Framer)
- Mapping — map fields → Create & sync
Coming soon
Section titled “Coming soon”Google Sheets
Section titled “Google Sheets”Google Sheets appears in the setup wizard with a Coming soon badge. You cannot connect it yet — use Notion for now.
When it launches, the same Framer → Source → Mapping wizard will apply: connect Google Drive, pick a spreadsheet tab, map columns, and sync.
Where setup runs
Section titled “Where setup runs”All source connection, mapping, sync, and billing happen in the web dashboard. The Framer plugin only opens the dashboard — see Plugin vs dashboard.
